SFC observed that school children eat their first meal at 1 pm. They remain hungry till then, which affects their concentration and energy.
SFC has started a nutrition program that entails taking height, weight and haemoglobin to ascertain growth and nutrition deficiency. Based on this, a scientific nutrition will be designed, which includes a powder additive to the glass of milk provided by the government and something to fill the stomach, such as a banana and bun.
SFC has engaged the service of Dhruti Bal, a nutrition scientist from Britannia, on an honorary basis.
